Sudha Sravanthi is a 43-year-old resident of Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, who used to sell flowers and was a daily wage earner. She enjoyed doing her work, but her income was not enough to meet her expenses. Unaware of banking schemes, she used to borrow money from private money lenders. Having to pay back the amount with a high rate of interest was becoming increasingly difficult for her. She was always in debt and was worried about her earnings and her children's future, but then she attended an online financial literacy session under Jaadu Ginni Ka and found it to be life-changing. From this training, Sudha learned the importance of savings for the very first time. She learned about various financial concepts like principal amount, investment, and managing expenses. She slowly began to save in fixed deposits in a bank that offers guaranteed returns. She applied what she learned in the training and saved enough to set up her flower shop. Now, she continues to do what she loves- sells flowers but does it successfully. She is not in debt anymore and has established a more secure future for herself and her children.
